What is PASMA?
PASMA (Prefabricated Access Suppliers Manufacturers Association) was formed in 1974, and comprising the major manufacturers of alloy access towers in the UK, the Association's original objectives were to promote the safe use of alloy access towers and to promote the interests of its members to the regulatory and standards authorities. Membership of the Association was confined to manufacturers only, who at that time represented the principal suppliers to the market for both sales and hire.
Who is the course designed for?
The course is for anyone involved in the use of mobile scaffold towers. The PASMA training course sets the standard. It is only available from nationally accredited PASMA training centres.
Legal Requirements
The Work at Height Regulations 2005, require that the assembly, dismantling or alteration of Mobile Access Towers should only be undertaken by a competent person, or if being trained, under the supervision of a competent person.
Course Objectives
Knowledge and Understanding
The training courses are based on a format and content agreed by all PASMA members and draws upon their collective, first-hand experience. Widely recognised and recommended by safety professionals, it provides successful delegates who pass a written and practical test with a competency certificate and an encapsulated; credit card sized Photo ID Card.
